Public Servants

As a member of a Public service you may find yourself exposed to traumatic events in the course of your work which can leave their mark on the subconscious mind, this is not a sign of weakness, it is a natural protective mechanism applied by the subconscious mind.

Later, when not in the negative situation the subconscious mind remains on alert and if circumstances that the subconscious mind identifies as similar to a traumatic one, even superficially, feelings of anxiety return. Flashbacks may be experienced without warning.

If you feel you are suffering residual effects from events in your job, no matter how long ago then please consider coming for treatment, you owe it to yourself.

Unless treatment is organised by your employer then any information regarding your treatment will remain confidential.
